Meet The Off Leash K9 Team
Randy - Trainer
Hi! I’m Randy, I’m a Marine Veteran. After the Marine Corps I went into the Banking industry. After a few years of doing that, I felt unfulfilled and wanted a more connective and passionate career. This was the first step into discovering my passion for training dogs! I’ve been a trainer for 5 years, and have had dogs my whole life, don’t really know what I’d do without one in my life! My 2 year old Malinois(Ninja) is my Demo pup, she’s my #one helper for teaching your dogs to not react when other dogs are barking around them.
I don’t see myself doing anything else but be your number one advocate for helping your own dogs become a better version of themselves and a great companion for your family! I specialize with anxiety and aggression cases and will do my best to help your family recover! I look forward to helping you!
Nickolas - Trainer
Hello, my name is Nickolas. I began training dogs when I was around 16 years old, and what started as an interest gradually developed into a genuine passion for working with dogs and understanding their personalities and behavior.
Working with Off Leash K9 has been a valuable and enjoyable experience for me. Since joining the company, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a variety of dogs, each with their own personalities, temperaments, and individual challenges. This experience has allowed me to continue developing my skills while gaining a deeper understanding of what it takes to work effectively with different types of dogs.
Dog training has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, focus, and attention to detail. Every dog is different, and learning how to recognize those differences and adjust my approach accordingly has been one of the most rewarding parts of being a trainer. The challenges I’ve encountered have pushed me to become more attentive, adaptable, and confident in my abilities.
I particularly enjoy working with dogs that present unique challenges. Helping a strong-willed dog make progress can be incredibly rewarding, and those experiences have taught me to remain patient, think critically, and continue looking for the approach that works best for each individual dog.
Another aspect of training that I really enjoy is working with owners. I like explaining the reasoning behind my techniques, demonstrating them, and then helping owners apply what they’ve learned with their own dogs. Seeing an owner gain confidence and understanding while applying the techniques in real time is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
I’m grateful to have turned my passion for dogs into a career, and I look forward to continuing to learn and grow as a trainer. My goal is to provide every dog and owner I work with the patience, consistency, and individualized attention they deserve while helping them build a stronger and more rewarding relationship together.
Alexis Sorter - Trainer
I’ve been professionally training dogs since 2021, but animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, my friends and family even call me “Doctor Dolittle.” I moved from Virginia to Jacksonville in 2024 due to my husband being active duty Navy and am so happy to continue doing what I Iove while also being a mom of two. Usually in my free time im finding trails to walk and doing scent work with my German shorthaired pointers and Border collie mix, or relaxing on the couch with my English bulldog. Helping dogs and watching their confidence grow, and seeing the joy it brings their owners, is the most rewarding part of what I do.
Audrey Baker - Trainer
Audrey moved here from Georgia, her life has always been surrounded by animals. As a former equestrian and dog groomer, she started training professionally about 5 years ago. Mainly focusing on making dogs more well rounded and better behaved. Audrey enjoys teaching basic obedience to dogs and working on rally moves. Audrey has and continues to compete with her Doberman, Tesla in AKC Conformation, AKC Rally, and some more fun sports. Tesla has earned 17 titles in their 6 years together. Audrey also has a love of history, collecting, music, and art.
